Breadboard adapter for ESP8266 Serial-to-WiFi transceiver

This is a bread­board adapter for the pop­u­lar ESP-01 mod­el of the ESP8266 ser­i­al-to-WiFi trans­ceiv­er mod­ule.    ESP8266 is an inex­pen­sive Ser­i­al-to-WiFi tran­ceiv­er chip that can con­nect any micro­con­troller with a ser­i­al port to a WiFi net­work. Because of its sim­plic­i­ty and low cost, it is get­ting pop­u­lar among hob­by­ists for build­ing Inter­net of Things (IoT) appli­ca­tions.    Out of many break­out boards avail­able for ESP8266, ESP-01 mod­el is the most pop­u­lar one among hob­by­ists because it pro­vides access to the pow­er sup­ply and I/O pins through a 2x4 (0.1” pitch) male head­er. Draw­backs of this mod­ule are that the pin arrange­ments are not bread­board friend­ly and are not labeled, which makes it lit­tle incon­ve­nient for rapid pro­to­typ­ing. So, we designed this bread­board adapter to make pro­to­typ­ing with the ESP-01 mod­ule eas­i­er.    The adapter has a 2x4 female head­er to receive the ESP-01 mod­ule and pro­vides easy access to those pins through two sin­gle row male head­ers (with clear pin names print­ed next to them) that are bread­board friend­ly. An addi­tion­al pow­er sup­ply fil­ter capac­i­tor of 10uF is also pro­vid­ed on board.
