The tape has good tensile strength and the hot melt adhesive is good in most environments and adheres well to most surfaces. Because of the nature of the hot melt adhesive and surface of the tape that the adhesive is wound onto as the adhesive releases from the roll there is a cracking noise generated, so this tape cannot be described as low noise. Please also note that this tape releases very easily from itself. This is not because that poor adhesive is used it is simply the relationship between the adhesive and the surface of the tape that it is wound onto. For this reason where tape gun dispensers are used it is better to use a dispenser with a clutch to put retention in the release of the tape from the roll. Like all polypropylene tape it is not easy to tear so for volume use a tape gun dispenser is recommended. But for low volume use a saftey cutter or knife of some description is adequate.P.V.C (poly vinyl chloride) P.V.C. tape is often called Vinyl tape. This tape stands alone in the world of packaging tape. It is a good heavy tape with a rubber based adhesive and fills you with confidence when you are using it. It has a hard release so it actually has to be pulled off the roll. It does not tear easily but you can actually tear it across its width. For this reason it works well with or without a tape dispenser gun.
